Diane Rae Davis
Diane was raised in Pendleton, Oregon, known as the most “wide-open” town in Oregon and home of the Pendleton Woolen Mills and the world class Pendleton Round-Up. She graduated from the University of Oregon, and later earned her MSW and Ph.D. at the University of Texas in Austin. She was a practicing social worker in Austin for 20 years in mental health and juvenile justice, before returning to UT for her Ph.D., followed by an academic job at Eastern Washington University at the graduate school of Social Work in Spokane, WA. She has recently finished co-authoring the 5th edition of Addiction Treatment: A Strengths Perspective, and is the author of Taking Back Your Life: Women and Problem Gambling. Diane lives at home in Austin with her cat Circe and practices not knowing the road ahead.
