Pray without Ceasing: An Election Day Vigil

The Abbey will hold an election day prayer vigil on November 3, 2020 from 7:00 am to 7:30 pm, while the polls are open. We will be praying every hour on the hour for our country and the world. The vigil is open to all, and we invite you to join us! Let others know about it as well.

We will hold three 30-minute prayer services on Zoom. The rest of the hours we will be praying on our own. We invite you to join us for one, two, or all three services. Alternatively, set your alarm for each hour and pray a collect or two for peace, respect, and unity for our country. We will offer prayer resources as time nears. Downloadable bulletins and prayers will be posted by November 2.

Register below and Zoom will send you a link to join the services. You must register for each service separately.

God of Love, you are the source of all goodness in this world; inspire us, as Saint Paul exhorts, to love one another with mutual affection; to outdo one another in showing honor; to be ardent in spirit; to rejoice in hope; to be patient in suffering; to persevere in payer; to contribute to the needs of saints; and to bless those who persecute us all so that we may live peaceably in harmony with one another and thus bring your Kingdom to earth. We ask this in the name of your son, Jesus Christ. Amen.
